            MASS of Mild Steel ROUND Plate

 Mild Steel = MS

  Mild steel is also considered low carbon steel as it is defined as having a low carbon content of 0.05  to 0.25%.

 

 Formula of  Mass:-

    Mass      =      Volume       ×       Density                                                               ( நிறை )        (பரும அளவு)          (அடர்த்தி)                                   

       

                    m  =  v ρ   ( ρ – is the Greek letter “rho” )

 

Dia = 50 mm, L= 200 mm

                                     ( Dia = 0.05 m, L= 0.20 m )

 

 

Volume  =  Area x Height

      Area = π r² = π (d/2)²       ( for Round Plate )

Volume  =  π (d/2)² h

m = π x (d/2)² x h x ρ          ( Density of Mild Steel = 7850 kg/m3 )

                                             ( Height = Length)   

m = 3.14 x (0.05/2)² x 0.2 x 7850     

m = 3.08  kg
